Since 2018, Mastercard has been the First Global Partner of League of Legends®, the world’s biggest esport. Inspired by the concept "Challenger Accepted," we created a campaign to help fans live out their wildest dreams—both in-game and beyond. At the heart of the activation was the "Mastercard Worlds Xperience," an event that gave 150 lucky fans a taste of Challenger life. They watched the World Championships live from Seoul, faced off in playful mini-challenges, and met former pro Tolkin. We built anticipation with a social campaign featuring top German streamers, then captured the excitement on-site with live content that kept the community buzzing. By blending digital and live experiences, we created a moment where fans could fully immerse themselves in the passion of the game—and Mastercard’s support of their journey.
